Sunday, September 18th, 2011 1pm – 4pm
Catch a flight from a Manhattan rooftop! The Fashion Center invites you to let your imagination soar at our annual Fashion District Kite Flight. Join us on the top of Port Authority Bus Terminal for an afternoon of kite-making, kite-flying, crafts, and free food, music and fun! The event is free and open to the public.
Location: 8th Avenue at 40th Street
Rooftop parking lot of the Port Authority Bus Terminal: 7th Floor (South Wing)
To get to the roof, enter the Port Authority’s south wing on Eighth Avenue just off of West 40th Street. Follow the Kite Flight signs to the elevator near Duane Reade. Take the elevator to the 7th floor.
Sounds like a blast! I’ll have to check it out…
