I was down on Wall Street recently, near The New York Stock Exchange.
And the area was simply TEEMING with ANIMALS!
No, I’m not talking about the Occupy Wall Street Protesters.
And no, I’m not talking about the Wall Street CEOs.
But REAL Animals.
Gorgeous Police Horses.
Enlarge the photo to see the braided tail on the horse on the right.
While I was admiring them, a man approached with his little dog.
He wanted to introduce his dog to the horses.
The cops were more than willing.
The dog was down with it.
The horse – not too sure…
The dog and the horse – they checked each other out.
Gave each other a sniff or two.
“You’re an animal!” said the dog.
“No, you’re the animal!” replied the horse.
“Despite our differences, can’t we get along? I respect your right to voice your opinions. Can’t you do the same for me?” the dog asked, reasonably.
“I’m okay, you’re okay,” the horse acknowledged with a soft nicker.
And they trotted off into the sunset together…
…not really. In reality, the man put the dog back on the ground and they walked away while the police horse continued to doze in the sunlight.
But I wanted a dramatic, happy ending!
So, in my mind’s eye, they trotted off into the sunset together… that braided tail swishing contentedly.
