The Metropolitan Museum Of Art

29 Dec

Hubby’s daughter E works at The Metropolitan Museum Of Art here in NYC.

If you have never gone, please do yourself a favor. It’s an astounding museum.

Even more astounding, was our visit when the museum was closed, which hubby and I did on a past Monday, thanks to E. I was eager to see in particular the photography exhibit “Stieglitz, Steichen, Strand” which is running through April 10, 2011.

I don’t mean to rub it in, but there is nothing like seeing the exhibits with NO ONE ELSE IN THE ROOMS!

Here’s the museum’s Holiday tree:

And here’s the Steichen room of the photography exhibit:

And here are a couple of rooms of paintings – can you identify any of the works of art or the artists?

Walking just the three of us through these magnificent rooms made me shiver with delight! What a special day. Thanks again, E!

P.S. As always, click once on any of the images to view it larger.
